The Rössler Attractor is a strange attractor arising from a
3-dimensional non-linear ordinary differential equation. It is a
simplification of the Navier-Stokes equations for fluid flow which was
discovered by the medical doctor Otto Rössler while investigating chemical
kinetics in 1976. The equations are very simple, yet the behavior of the
solutions display very rich dynamics.
